Accessibility Statement
Halo Privacy is committed to making haloprivacy.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies, who have low vision, color-vision differences, motor or cognitive disabilities, or who simply prefer different ways of interacting with the web.
1. Standards we aim for
We design and build with the goal of conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.
2. What we do
- Provide a high-contrast dark theme by default and a fully featured light theme that respects your preference.
- Use semantic HTML, descriptive link text, and ARIA labels where appropriate.
- Ensure interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard.
- Support reduced-motion preferences via the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. - Use generously sized type and a comfortable line length to favor legibility over density.
- Provide alternative text for meaningful images and avoid using color alone to convey information.
3. Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, you may encounter areas of the site that are not fully accessible. Common causes include third-party content we link to but don't control, recently updated pages that have not yet been audited, or browser/assistive-technology combinations that interact in unexpected ways. If you encounter a specific barrier, please tell us, see "Feedback" below, so we can address it.
4. Compatibility
The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and the screen readers commonly paired with them (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack). It should also degrade gracefully on older browsers without JavaScript, with the exception of the theme toggle and a few visual transitions.
5. Feedback
We treat accessibility feedback the way we treat security reports: seriously, and quickly. If you have trouble using any part of this site, or have suggestions for improving it, write to:

Please include the page URL, what you were trying to do, what happened, and the assistive technology and browser you were using if you can. We aim to respond within five business days.
6. Continuous improvement
This statement reflects our current state. We review the site against WCAG periodically and incorporate improvements as we go. The effective date above marks our most recent review.
